Weeping Nights

Hey morning man
wipes the sunlight from off my eyes
(i'll dry) my tears deny
my thoughts a chance to come away
no bedside compass to decide
each of my stepping strides
which trails off into the night

The kissing birds at the lake
looked down where rests my weary head
the chirping yellow contemplates
drawing lines on the woodwork
under the written words
spelling a lie that reminds me just...

Why
everyday is just like
all the other days that cried
hello
just as goodbye took refuge by its side

Hey morning man
breathes the warmth to resign the cold
(i'll try) when no one else
should be a friend to embrace today
curtain windows drawn aside
to take a look on the outside
where empty spaces listens wide

Can't let the time it would take
to wait the days out just to make
promises and mistakes
crossing off all the regrets
maybe what little said
simply is how it reminds me of...

Why
everyday is just like
all the other days that cried
hello
just as goodbye took refuge by its side

There goes my friends
waving arms and whispering into the night
(there goes) everyone, i'll take
a faithless walk along the shores
where the ocean comes to meet
the edges of this weeping night
