The Great Divide

Mirror mirror
on the ceiling
reflecting all that is below
the neon lights
the lights are blinking
mother drops in just to say hello

She says

How have you forgotten today
it's not an excuse to be naked on the floor
what a time to choose to play
with little jimmy who really looks quite sore

Well since the war has come to light
there's no point in turning a blind eye to such a sight
as duty would burden me to plight
let's stay low till the enemy splits the great divide

No reason to be cold with sweat
you must hold your own and let
the brave inside take over your frail sanity
don't hestitate when you have set
the opportunity to attack
just fire all the ammo in your underbelly

Horror horror
right on the floor
spread across the carpets wide

no sideshows to the afternoons delight

it's no suprise the coffee table's overturned
little jimmy's bright and gay
with medals decorated on a pride that's not unheard

Though the battle had been quite shortlived
No doubt the enemy's still within the perimeter

Innocence is the devils pet
last one out's a fiesty cat
the walls of this redemption is most assuredly revered
oh hail ye adored mounds of righteous
bless me as the mighty conquers
the Rivers of Judea will be covered in the fallens blood

the triggers off
the backdoor is now in the open
penitent warriors
who yearns them sanctioned
when you have a headrest on the slopes

there could be some resistance say

grab the sides and get that cannon all prepared
find the hole and drop that grenade

There has been a casualty
much evidence of verocity
like pounding irons echoing all through the mind
the enemies are all defeated
the lifeline is now also severed
the king would now proclaim the whole land for himself throughout time

claded in gold
wear that crown with pride this day
travesty ah glory
bought and sold
what once is was will soon be yesterday

She says

Oh my god there's little jimmy
why hello again to you I say
what brings you back here so soon
your conquests does not tire you I presume
